You may already know this but as it was new to me I thought I should pass it on for those who do not know.
A handy thing when at sea is to receive details such as the barometric pressure, sea state wind etc from ships all around you - say within 150 miles.
There is a free service that offers this.
Just send an email to shipreports@starpath.com with the word 'help' in the title and you will receive an email back with instructions.
Basically you send your position and the data flows back by email.
Try it now if you wish. Its a very handy tool.
