Hi all,
Weekend forecast to follow shortly but wanted to bring you up to date with happenings in the western Atlantic.
Despite the official start of tropical storm season being 1st June, nature does not abide by such human time scales.
An interesting low is developing west of Bermuda through the weekend, and it is a low of tropical origins (see chart below for midday GMT Tuesday). All models agree with the development, although positions vary from model to model.
It does seem that the low will be deepening and heading toward the eastern seaboard of the US early next week, although will be a much weakened feature by then.
Certainly an interesting one to watch and you can see more here

If you know anyone planning an Atlantic crossing eastwards over the coming days, make sure they are aware of this potential development.
Hope that's of interest.
Simon
