Hi everyone,

As we get into the dark winter months your minds will be turning to what to do now!

Well, several of you have asked about my running Sailing Weather Schools around the country, but due to the constraints of time I have only been able to run one of these (in Reading).

However, I am now considering running Sailing Weather School (Part 1) online. The course would be run over 4, 1.5 to 2-hour sessions, once or twice a week from the beginning of November. For those who have not attended a webinar it really is easy to do. One click and you are in the webinar room. You see me present the course live using slides and graphics, and I even have a white board to draw on. You can ask questions either by text or using your microphone. Of course, you can be anywhere, home, office, abroad, so long as you have a broadband connection it does not matter.

I have been running similar sessions for my aviation weather school, but I wondered what your response would be.

Numbers of attendees would be limited so everyone has the chance to ask questions. Obviously it is not as interactive as face-to-face questions at a physical Weather School, but it will save you the hassle and cost of driving and staying here in Wombourne.

The cost will be £120 and you will get a certificate at the end of the course. You will cover EXACTLY the same topics as on a full Weather School and will receive the same worksheets.

Just wondered if this is something you might be interested in before I go ahead and confirm it.

You can reply to me here, PM or email me at simon@weatherweb.net

Look forward to your thoughts on this innovation in sailing training.

Best wishes,
Simon
