We've a 1 year old Yorkshire Terrier. She's the most sweetes dog we've ever met. She's born for sailing, likes it really a lot. So you can see at the pictures.

We recently took our dog to the Abacos with us for the first time and he did really well. We did have a problem with the potty on board training. We built him a garden complete with trees on the back of the boat and he could not associate it with "you pee here". He went 29 hours on one passage and 32 on another. We have decided to take him only when it would be 20 hours or less on the passage. Does anyone have any ideas?

Put down a piece of green matting, looks like synthetic grass. Seems to work every time with bitches. Dogs may not react the same, but worth a try.

For dogs you need to plant a tree!

Well, it really was a basil plant that looked like a tree. We tried the synthetic grass, real sod, and even a box of rocks. We would take him for walks with his leash on around the boat. In desperation, I asked my husband to try peeing on the mat and the dog went right over and peed! Unfortunately it never worked again:confused:
We are still on the search for what will work for him. He is just so well housebroken.

Use real grass; you'll have to renew it from time to time..:)
