Introduced to market in 2009, the Knysna 480 has become a very successful sailing model among demanding owners who are considering ocean crossings and long distance cruising. The boatyard had the opportunity to exhibit the new owner's version at the July 2011 Durban Boat show. The yacht attracted lots of interest especially in its new lay-out design; this was favorably received due to its added practical spaciousness and experience of luxury. Mike Brown, the new owner will take delivery of this new yacht end of August 2011. This celebrates yet another launch after 9 months of dedicated build and thoughtful planning of Knysna Yacht Company.

Hi Osiyeza, the Knysna 480 is a brilliant sailing vessel. It is a Angelo Lavranos design, fast and strong, aiming at couples that are interested in long distance cruising with all the comfort and luxuries needed for extended sailing. It takes 9 months to build a yacht, the boat yard involves both the owner and his wife from day one with weekly progress photos of the building process. You can visit www.knysnayacht.com - they will send you some technical information, etc,
Good luck,
Joe-Joe
