I am new to posting in forums so hope I don't break any rules here. We started a charter company to make it more affordable for people to go sailing for a month or more. I am looking for advise on how we can get the word out to potential cat owners that might be looking for extra income and would consider putting there boat in charter. We desperately need a couple more good boats.

It would help if you said in which country are you setting up this operation.

Then on what basis.

People could then focus their advice.

Right. We started in 2005 with a Leopard 4500 that I bought. We operate in the Caribbean. Mostly in the BVI.

What does it cost to charter that for a month in the BVI?

How far is one allowed to wander?

Thanks for your interest in Seabbatical. The prices are on the website but 4 weeks is between $7000 and $13,500 depending on the size of the cat and the time of the year. Any ideas how we can reach out to owners of good cats (especially Leopards ) to let them know we exist. I think we are a good option, if anyone is thinking of putting there boat in charter as the quality of the sailors we are attracting for a month or more is quite good and the boats are well looked after.

The cruising grounds depend on your sailing resume and the time you have. We have mostly been doing the Spanish USVI and British Virgin Islands. However we have been from Nova Scotia to Grenada. And if you have the time doing the BVI to Grenada is fun.
