Re: Catalac 8m Outboard 9.9hp Yamaha High thrust

The Yamaha 9.9 high thrust is a very good engine and designed for powering yachts, so the perfect choice
which is why you see so many of them on cats.

Re: Assessing prices for older catamarans

A surveyor would likely look at a boat for you without doing a full survey and offer a price guide.
This of course will cost you. You will not want to keep doing this!
You need to look at as many...

Re: Assessing prices for older catamarans

A fair price is what the vendor will accept and what you are willing to pay.
We paid full asking price for ours because we new we would not get a better one
for the price. We were both happy :)

We have a flotation vest for our small dog just in case, but
it also has a handle on the back which makes picking her up easy and safer.

Don't know these boats but doesn't look that cheap for what is a 30' boat.

Re: Seawind 24 Rotating Mast Bushing

Nylon is self lubricating and can be machined. PTFE would also work.

Re: Another Chris White Atlantic 57 flips

Sounds like a logical explanation. Bad luck for any boat caught in that situation.
  34. Re: Replacing crossbeam on Privilege Cat 1990's era

I would be very wary of just welding. Aluminum weld is weaker than the original
material. I would look at fitting an internal splice and pop rivets.
