    Default Actual weight?

What is the actual weight of your boat, as measured while in slings?

I've got a 1991 P39. When it was last hauled out, it weighed 12.5 metric tons according to the lift operator. That was kind of surprising to me, since that's about twice what the specs say the boat should weigh. Cyclops does have a stainless solar/davit arch added to it, but the dinghy wasn't hanging from it at the time of measurement, nor was the boat fully loaded with stuff. Some stuff, yes, but hardly 6000 kg of stuff.

I'm assuming that the measurement was in error, but I'm still curious about what others weigh.

I have never come across a lift/crane weight measurement that was remotely correct. But the question is always - who else can you ask? :-)

Nothing works on an old boat, except the skipper.
