Ah, the good old Ferret boyo. I remember watching that when I lived down by Port Talbot bud. (not easy to do an accent when typing...)

The guy didn't deserve a penny, A, Built in Taiwan B, Monohull stinkboat!!

For that money, well, HALF that even, he could have got a stonking great luxury cat and he wouldnt have been poluting the Welsh coast that he loves so much!

OK.... well as that was me I would like to make a few points.

    1. Some very famous, well made boats are made in the far east such as Marlow, Nordhavn etc. So there are a number of what you term idiots out there.

    2. The boat was well researched but there were then no unhappy customers evident ...... as it turned out they were simply silent because they did not want to devalue their boat.

    3. The people running the UK company were exposed as fraudsters by the BBC.

    4. It seems that you think anyone who buys a motor boat is stupid? A bit of an extreme position to take.

    5. Polluting the Welsh coast - frankly a stupid point. The vast bulk of all goods are traded between countries by sea and on that basis anyone consuming anything is polluting the coast!

Frankly I think your views are absurd.

Thanks DMBRUCE, yes I was, I hoped the smiley at the end made that clear but sorry if you took it the wrong way. I'm sure after such a disaster, you have long since lost your sence of humour on the subject anyway!

You should expect some sort of tounge in cheek anti monohull comment on this of all forums anyway!

Still, well done the Ferret, bet Ann Robinson couldnt have done better!

I happen to know a couple of people who own Traders and they are VERY happy with them. Tons of space, very stable and reliable and well built. Amazing the crap that happened with your boat though, I wouldnt expect that from a 200k Bavaria, never mind nearly a million quids worth of boat like that!

No, I am sorry I missed the smilie!

At the time I was undergoing that risky operation having abandoned the boat and on a lose all or win all path, there were a number of folks on the YBW forum making the same points you made in jest but as serious points. So I was used to fending off attacks like that

Early Traders were supplied as hulls and finished in the UK. I met many happy customers before I ordered.
