    Default Value covered

    hi,
how do you handle that - what value are you covering, the price of the new boat or actual value?
maybe that depends on how old your boat is, so if you answer please also state the age of the boat and also let me know why you do it that way.

Purchase price and the insurers rules if any.

Nothing works on an old boat, except the skipper.

Boat/US let me insure for "Agreed Upon Value"

Initially, they wanted to insure it for much less based on BUC Value.

I sent them the survey appraisal and what other small catamarans had sold for in the past two years and they agreed to increase it significantly.
