Hello,
How are the sea trials moving along ?
Best regards,
Mike
Long time, no updates here...and then we noticed Island Home at the Gold Coast City Marina!
How was your delivery/ocean-crossing? ...and are you now cruising the OZ East Coast?? ...and do we also see Rudi&Deslyn are in OZ seeking an OZ broker/distributor for Maverick, perhaps using Island Home as their 'show' vessel??? So many questions...![]()

I expect the last thing Rudi would be doing is getting involved on threads on the internet.![]()
That sounds like a reasonable expectation.
Given another separate and lengthy thread on this great Forum, plus a bit of our own experience, we are looking forward in particular to hearing what sort of warranty support will be offered to/by the new (yet-to-be identified?) OZ broker/distributor...![]()

...& we can now confirm that Rudi was at Sanctuary Cove, along with Island Home and her owner (Geoff?); the latter proud of exciting challenges met and conquered in Island Home's voyage from South Africa and the former no doubt hoping to achieve new sales in OZ. Stay tuned...?!?
BTW we also noted Island Home's registered LOA (marked on her saloon cabin sides) is 12.98m. So it seems that, like the Lipari 41 that is actually 39.2', the Maverick 440 may be actually 42.5'...altho Multihull World lists the M440 LOA at 13.3m or 43.5'...& Multihull Company list the M440 LOA at 13.4m? Perhaps the "Custom" build may permit modifications to LOA???![]()

In Canada the Length, of registered vessels, can be measured in two ways; the tabular method shows true LOA (this is a relatively new measurement option), but the normal measurement of length, is from the rudder post to the stemhead.
Perhaps Australia has similar rules?
My 35' Hughes was 31 feet, my Corbin 39 was registered as 10.67m (35 feet).
Cheers.
Paul.
