    Really?

    I thought that all frigates and destroyers were designed specifically to be self-righting. That is why they remain mono-hulls and have not adopted the other benefits of multi-hulls.

    If I recall correctly, the maximum force for righting on a destroyer was about 55 degs from vertical. I have been on a frigate when we were at that angle and it was not nice. I have actually been at 70 deg from vertical in a minesweeper in a force 11, and I still have nightmares about that.
