Just a quick bit of blatant self-promotion for any of you who are looking to insure a catamaran (I figured since you came to the insurance section you would not mind!)

I'm a fellow catamaran owner (MaineCat 41) and a world cruiser with 40,000 NMs at sea & counting.
I'm also a marine insurance agent for IMIS (International Marine Insurance Services) where I've worked since 2003. I started out as the office manager, but when I decided to buy a catamaran and go cruising, my boss said I could stay on as a "floating salesperson"!

IMIS is the sole agent for the Markel Jackline offshore cruising policy. This policy only requires two qualified persons aboard for extended passages and has no offshore mileage limitations. We are also agents for Lloyds, Pantaenius, GMIC, NH Ins, Markel Helmsman to name just a few. So if you'd like to work with an agent who really understands catamarans and cruising, my contact information is below.
