I am leaving Detroit on 04/15/18 with 2 friends to sail Sunrise from Kemah, Tx to New Bern, NC.
The boat is cutter rigged and besides having a nacelle it has Bulbous Bows.
It will be interesting to see what I think of them after 50 years of monohull sailing.

Congratulations on the purchase of "Sunrise" and bon voyage! Are the bulbous bows a recent addition as they do not show on the pictures?

Since I have seen the boat they have been there. Look closely and you will see them.

Greetings, we also just purchased a Solaris sunrise 36 but it is the sport model which I am not exactly sure what the difference is. I am told a slightly taller rig but info is hard to come by regarding these vessels. Was just wondering how your relocation sail went and how new ownership is treating you? I just posted a bit about our project in the Solaris owners unite thread. I look forward to hearing from you.
