Maybe I'm too much of a detailist, but I found the content surficial. That won't stop me from reading free issues, but I wouldn't pay to subscribe. In fairness to MR, I make the same judgment of most magazines. Perhaps I was expecting too much, but I had hoped to see a lot of details about a few boats, and maybe some comparisons in the style of Practical Sailor. Economics of publishing business may make such a magazine impossible.

I enjoyed reading it, maybe because I like the Outremers, but find them a bit cramped, probably why they sail well...

Objective testing, or even comparative testing of a group of boats would be ideal, but very difficult to organise.
