    actually surprisingly friendly. But smarminess or trying to ingratiate yourself never works on me (unless she is very friendly as well)

    My answer, got me a slightly more robust response, so it looks like I lost my favorite pen-pal. Saddens me greatly...

    Closed the thread at CF. Claims that what is typed is unsubstantiated. It's straight from the owners, and still they refuse to listen. The only name calling was from Gidders. Talk about having the head in the sand!......i2f

    Based on the number of postings Fastcat is the most popular cat on the forum!

    I really do feel for Dick and Karen, I think they have shown utmost patience. I guess at some stage one has to cut ones losses otherwise it can destroy the whole dream of cruising. I just hope Fastcat do not sell one more boat.

    Most discussed possibly :

    You cannot guarantee that any future owner will actually do due diligence on these vessels, but if they do, by continuing to keep fastcat at the top of the list for people trying to search out information on fastcats , and providing enough references to fastcat that the bots doing their crawl through cyber space discover that this thread is the most popular and thus heads up google searchs on fastcat or other such fastcat based searches. After all we are only doing our civic duty and helping to ensure that any potential fastcat owner has all the info at their fingertips.

    Surely an open-and-shut case?! Without being privy to all of the specifics; I cannot believe that anyone entered into a contract to purchase a boat without having conditions on the sale.

    Sooner or later Gideon was going to have to play by the rules down here on planet Earth. Sadly, it appears that this might be the straw to break the camel's back; the money cannot be given back if it is not there .

    My sympathies to your clients. I wish them success with their case.
